1. Greenhillock Glamping
Greenhillock, near Forfar, is an eco camping and glamping site. Set in five acres of wildflower meadow, this is the perfect place to get off grid, immerse yourself in nature, relax and unwind.
Visitors here are encouraged to leave technology behind and embrace the outdoors. At Greenhillock you’ll be encouraged to light campfires to cook your food on, build dens to run in and out of, explore your surroundings on a mini-beast hunt and listen to the birds sing.
The Field Kitchen provides a communal cooking space where you can cook on a gas stove or BBQ, and there is even a ‘Pizza Huttie’ for cooking fresh homemade pizza. If you’d rather eat out, there are plenty of dining options nearby.
There are thirty generous camping pitches on site, each with their own fire pit. Families can also make use of the two group pitches which take three large tents each, and there is an adult area with eight pitches for grown-ups only, situated away from the main campsite.
If you fancy a bit of luxury, upgrade to a glamping experience in a fabulous bell-tent, complete with carpet and bed along with a private seating area.

2. Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort
Forbes of Kingennie is a stunning Country Resort in rural Angus, offering accommodation, dining, golf and fishing. Kids will love it here too as they explore the thistle maze, putting green and playpark on site.
Here you’ll find a range of accommodation options including luxury self-catering lodges sleeping between two and ten guests, and unique glamping huts for a special experience.
The luxury, hand-crafted Shepherd Huts are called The Stargazer, Coorie Doon and Sealladh Lock. The huts are perfect for a romantic staycation all year round, with underfloor heating, ensuite bathroom, a lounge area and their own private hot tubs.
The Stargazer features a stargazing window above the bed, so you can put your feet up and watch the world go by. Coorie Doon (which means snuggle down) features its own private hot tub outside where you can relax and enjoy the waterside views. Sealladh Lock, a double shepherd hut, is the latest addition to the resort. The two huts are joined together with a beautiful glass walkway, connecting you or your guests to the outdoors whilst moving between the huts.
The huts have fully fitted kitchens with everything you might need to self-cater, or head over to the on-site restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.

3. The Hideaway Experience
The Hideaway Experience offers luxury self-catering accommodation for honeymoons, mini-moons, romantic getaways and relaxing retreats – the ultimate adult only experience.
There are five hideaways to choose from, each set in its own private grounds, complete with garden, and surrounded by farmland with stunning countryside views.
Luxury features come as standard here, with a hot tub, sauna, double hammock, cocktail bar, gas BBQ, coffee machine and much more all ready and waiting for you to enjoy.
You can also choose from a range of optional extras to make your getaway that bit extra special, including flowers, couples massages and food packs full of delicious local produce.

4. Davidson Cottage
Davidson Cottage, in the small village of Aberlemno, is the restored home of William C Davidson, father of the founding sons of Harley Davidson.
The cottage has been painstakingly restored to how it would have been in 1857. The old range in the kitchen is up and running, ready to cook broth and oatcakes to feed a hungry family, and the old box bed is ready to sleep in.
The two upstairs bedrooms, reached by a tiny wooden staircase, provide panoramic views across the surrounding fields to the mountains beyond.
This cosy cottage is available now for people to stay in and experience life as it would have been in the 19th century, and is ideal for Harley enthusiasts wishing to stay where it all started.

5. House of Dun
Built in 1743 to replace the medieval tower house that had been home to the Erskine family since 1375, House of Dun is the perfect laird’s home and is filled with treasures telling the stories of the people who once lived here.
Resting in the sandstone courtyard, which is also home to the Angus Folk Collection, you’ll find the North & South Stables self-catering holiday apartments. The apartments were originally built in the 18th-century to accommodate the grooms who would have kept the Laird’s horses in pristine condition.
Each of the apartments sleep four in two twin bedrooms and are refurbished to a high standard with everything you will need for an enjoyable stay, including a comfortable living area, well-equipped kitchen and sleek shower room.
Don’t miss taking a tour of the magnificent House of Dun during your stay, led by knowledgeable guides dressed in attire from the era. You can also explore the stunning gardens and surrounding woodland.

6. Peel Farm
The picturesque Peel Farm is situated at the foot of Glen Isla, in the Angus Glens. There is lots on offer here, including a Coffee Shop, Farm Shop, Nature Trail and fantastic accommodation.
There are two self-catering cottages – The Old Bothy which sleeps four, and The Old Cow Byre which sleeps eight. Both cottages have been converted from 17th century farm buildings and are finished to a high standard with unique charm and character. The Old Cow Byre also features an outdoor area with private hot tub.
Alongside the cottages, visitors can instead opt for a glamping experience, with a choice of four standard glamping pods, each located in their own private area with a wood fired hot tub made for two, or four premium glamping pods. These premium pods also have their own private area with wood fired hot tub, along with a range of additional features including a coffee machine, bathrobes and slippers and mood lighting.
All of the accommodation is self-catering and is well equipped, however you are welcome to dine in the onsite coffee shop which is open daily for breakfast and lunch.
