Travel through the hills and glens in the open air, enjoying the spectacular views on a unique trike tour with Rewaco Trikes.
Based in the beautiful Angus area, tours can include castles, distilleries and coastal views. There are preplanned tours to choose from, but you have the option to plan your own bespoke experience. You can choose how many hours you would like to be out, and also discuss where you would like to go.
Lunch Stop
Grab some lunch at The Whistle Stop – a local, family run coffee shop offering a wide range of quality, locally sourced food, drinks and home baking throughout the day.
The cafe is located within the historic station building at the Caledonian Railway in Brechin, where visitors can enjoy a ride on a classic steam or diesel train from Brechin to Bridge of Dun.
Location 3: Brechin Castle Centre
The Country Park at Brechin Castle Centre not only offers a picturesque setting with a wide range of activities for all the family.
The play area offers everything from go-karts and a sledge run to a giant maze, crazy golf and foot golf, as well as a magical fairy trail through the surrounding woodland. The giant sandpit, zip slide and farm themed courtyard are certain to keep the children busy.
Enjoy afternoon refreshments in the fabulous cafe.
Location 4: Glenesk Folk Museum
Glenesk Folk Museum was built in 1955 by local school teacher Greta Michie and was later rebuilt and extended in 2005. This fascinating museum tells the stories of the people who lived in the glens through the centuries.
The reconstructed rooms recreate how life was in Victorian times with dressing up and activities available to experience. Don’t miss a visit to this inspiring museum, and enjoy the gardens and wee woodland walk while you’re there.
This is just a flavour of all that is available for visitors to Brechin – there’s lots more to see and do, with something for everyone!
