Location 1: Blue Seaway Park
First stop for your day out in Monifieth is the fantastic Blue Seaway park, located on the seafront. This park has lots to offer including bowling greens, tennis courts, skate park and activity areas for the kids.
You can also enjoy stunning panoramic views across the Firth of Tay.
Location 2: Monikie & Crombie Country Parks
Next up, head to Monikie Country Park where you can enjoy a relaxing walk through the scenic woodland and a range of watersports including windsurfing, sailing, rafting, kayaking and canoeing.
A short distance from Monikie is Crombie Country Park where visitors can enjoy surfaced woodland trails, an adventure playground, bird hides, geocaching and angling.
Location 3: Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort
Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort is the ideal spot for a self-catering break, a hearty meal, a quiet round of 9 holes or a days’ fishing.
Enjoy a delicious lunch in the Scullery Restaurant which serves local produce with someone to suit everyone. Afterwards, enjoy a stroll around the lochs or try and escape the thistle maze!
Location 4: Ardestie Earth House
Round off your day by exploring an ancient underground passage at Ardestie Earth House, where you can trace the remains of long-abandoned buildings.
Ardestie is a fantastic example of an earth house and remains in a great state despite being built in the first two centuries AD.
