Situated near Blairgowrie, this hotel in Kirkton of Glenisla is an excellent base for outdoor pursuits. Walk out the front door directly onto the Cateran Trail or enjoy numerous other walks. Fishing for wild brown trout or rainbow trout is available nearby. Plentiful bird shooting and deer stalking opportunities in the vicinity and the Glenshee ski slopes are only half an hour’s drive away.
As well as activities, Glenisla is a perfect spot for retreat time in a place of peace and tranquility. Games and books are available for relaxing and for rainy days.
Breakfast provision comprises porridge pot/snacks/cereals/toast/tea & coffee for guests to help themselves to as much as they require. Gluten Free, Vegan, or other dietary requirements can be accommodated on request. As the Bar & Restaurant are not open on Mondays and Tuesdays, there is a Residents Only space with a freezer full of a wide range of complete meals and a microwave where guests can cook the meals or cook food they bring with them.
Glenisla Bar & Restaurant is open Wednesdays to Sundays from 12 noon to closing time. Enjoy excellent home cooked, locally sourced food from a wide and varied menu to suit all preferences and dietary requirements.
There is always a warm welcome in the bar, the cosy snug and in the light and airy restaurant, with the option of the beer tent and beer garden for the warmer days.
Garden toys are available in the rear beer garden for children’s entertainment.
Dogs are very welcome throughout the hotel.
Opening Times (Bar & Restaurant)
Wednesday to Sunday – 11am to closing.
Open at 11am for coffee/tea & cake, 12 noon to 4pm for light lunches and 12 noon to 8pm for the full menu (last food order at 7.45pm October to March).
