Victoria Park

Dog at Arbroath Cliff

Description

Victoria Park is located on the south-east side of Arbroath and runs along the seashore between the town and Whiting Ness, which marks the south-west end of Seaton Cliffs.

The park was opened in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee and it seems likely that the area was landscaped at that time.

Victoria Park is a natural amphitheatre and has hosted a number of large events.

There are stunning views from the two paths, which lead to the cliffs, out over the North Sea and as far as The Bell Rock Lighthouse on the horizon.

The wide sweep of King’s Drive allows for motorists to drive as far as the start of Seaton Cliffs and there is ample parking spaces along the promenade.
